F.A.Q.'s

Q: Why should we hire a videographer when we are already hiring a professional photographer?

A: Wedding photos by themselves just aren't enough. They capture singular moments, but they don''t paint the entire picture. They cannot capture all of the sights and sounds a video can. Most couples say that their wedding day went by so fast that they could hardly remember everything that happened. A professional wedding video, when done correctly, will help a couple relive their special day. A wedding is full of once-in-a-lifetime moments that should be documented and relived with future generations.

Q: Why can't we just have a friend or family member film our wedding for free?

A: Unless your friend is an experienced wedding videographer, we can't emphasize enough what a huge difference there is between home video and a professionally produced video. Your friend or relative may have great intentions, but it's unlikely that they have the equipment, knowledge, and special talent it takes to do it right. In order to have a great wedding video, you need professional cameras, wireless microphones, state-of-the-art editing gear, the experience to use it correctly, and an artistic eye to find the best angles. Owning a nice video camera doesn't make you a videographer. You must also be able to anticipate the best moments before they even happen, and this comes with years of wedding videography experience.

Q: How do we know which videographer is right for us? There are so many to choose from.

A: Finding the right videographer is no easy task. We encourage you to do your homework, shop around, and find the videographer that best suits your style. We feel confident that Little Star Productions can best fit your personal style, because we take the time to really get to know you long before we pick up our cameras. Aside from the superior quality of our work, we like to gain our client's trust. We do this by listening to your ideas, addressing your concerns, and using our expertise to design a wedding video that is uniquely yours. We never use tacky graphics, sappy music, or "cookie cutter" methods. We work closely with you, so you get exactly what you want, and we deliver it on time. If you're looking for a huge Hollywood production, we're not the company for you. If you're looking for the cheapest wedding videographers out there, we're not that either (remember, you get what you pay for). But if you want someone who's going to listen to you, inspire creativity, and give your wedding the attention it deserves, then please contact us.

Q: What distinguishes a "high end" wedding video from a bargain video?

A: Professional videos require no excuses and capture the day's special moments in a personal and creative way. The sound is clear and crisp, the images have accurate color and the camera work is smooth. The pace is quick and captivating, never dragging on longer than necessary. Special effects are used tastefully and only when needed. Mostly, the difference between a professional video and a low-end job should be obvious by your first reaction to it - you will either love it or hate it.

Q: Why pay more for a package that offers two cameras and two videographers instead of just one?

A: Two sets of artistic "eyes" are better than just one. We can capture more angles of a single priceless event, or more than one event at at time, if two special moments are occurring at once. With two videographers and two cameras, we have a lot more raw footage to work with, which results in a higher quality, more creative final product.

Q: Do you have hidden "hourly charges" if the wedding goes longer than expected?

A: No. We believe in capturing the entire event and not confining ourselves to shooting within a set amount of time like most companies. We cover the event from start to finish, so we don't miss any special moments.

Q: How long is the finished video?

A: Typically, a finished video is approximately 35-60 minutes in length. Don't be fooled into thinking that a longer video means a better video. Rather, a longer video means a lot of fast-forwarding through long, boring parts. We keep the action moving and your love story compelling, making sure to include all of the most important events of your special day. For those who want it all, in complete unedited form, we offer the raw footage on VHS (see our Custom Packages for more details).

Q: Do you have any hidden set up fees if we choose a DVD format instead of VHS?

A: No. Little Star Productions offers you the choice of VHS or DVD with all of our wedding packages at no extra charge. DVD offers the highest video and audio quality available and can be played an unlimited number of times without loss of quality or degradation.

Q: How does your payment plan work?

A: We will work with you to set up a payment schedule that fits your financial needs. We ask that you pay a non-refundable $200 to reserve your date. This assures both you and Little Star Productions that the date is yours and nobody else can take it. We will credit you the full amount when you pay your final bill. The remaining balance for all wedding and DJ services is due one week prior to your wedding date. We accept Cash, Money Orders, Cashier's Checks and Paypal (for credit card or checking account payments). Note: We highly recommend calling us as soon as possible to reserve your date. Popular summer dates fill up quickly. However, if your wedding date is just around the corner, don't hesitate to contact us, we may have that date available.

Q: How long will it take to receive our wedding video?

A: Typically, videos will take between 6-8 weeks to complete, depending on the season. Because we do such meticulous editing, it will be worth the wait!
